as all our friends and family have found out, we sent out little announcements about the pregnancy. we've never seen this done before, but we thought it would be a lot more persona than a mass email -- we'll save that for the second child! =) anyway, it gave us a good opportunity to surprise everyone, and we've gotten the nicest phone calls, emails, and comments ever since. so thanks everyone for being so happy!
