thanks to my friend terry on the howforums... this was both fun and gross!
what do you think of the above artwork? it was lovingly created by a mother for her child. lovely, isn't it? want to know which materials she used?
well, her placenta, of course!
yes, this print was created using her means of creation -- her very own placenta. apparently this is not unheard of. in addition to burying the placenta and, ::shudder::, eating the placenta -- both of which i have heard of before -- they even sell placenta print kits. it's an, um, novel way of doing something for your child. and i guess it's non-toxic...
being an artist, i'm open to a lot of different mediums and ideas. but bodily fluids/by-products has never been an area i'm cool with. ew!

I agree with you 100%! There's loving being a mommy, and then there's looooooving being a mommy. (In a slightly disturbing way.)
Eww.
You are so not avant-garde. Let go of your inhibitions! :)
