thanks to jenn merritt who let me know about this nifty site!
since we couldn't seem to keep our registry items to one store, we were worried about how to let people know about where to shop for certain things (crib here, bedding there...). and we honestly didn't want anything left out.
my friend jenn let me know about myregistry.com a few weeks ago. i'm just trying it out today and it's awesome! i can go through my registries from other sites, click on the link, and add it directly to my registry list on myregistry.com. then our guests can go to that site and find everything that we've registered for RIGHT THERE! you get redirected to the site from which we have registered, and you also let the registry know that the item has been purchased so it can be logged.
this will work out great. i'm very excitedly going through everything now. it takes a while, but that's ok.
you can get to our registry by using the button at the left. =)
